Project Description Roof Decks 2, 4 & 5 1. At three roof deck locations, remove the existing asphalt Built-Up Roofing (BUR) systems down to the surface of the lightweight concrete fill decking. Remove the lightweight concrete fill deck material down to the surface of the structural concrete decking. 2. Install an isocyanurate foam insulation system using both tapered insulation and flat foam insulation board stock. 3. Install a 0.5" thick high density isocyanurate foam cover board over the foam insulation system. 4. Install an adhered 60 mil EPDM roof system over the cover board. Install cured and uncured EPDM flashing systems. 5. Install new sheet metal flashings and counterflashings. 6. Provide the specified warranties from the membrane manufacturer and the roofing contractor. Roof Deck 6A 1. Remove the existing smooth surfaced asphalt BUR system down to the surface of the wood decking. 2. Set a layer of 0.5" thick high density isocyanurate foam cover board over the wood decking. 3. Install an adhered 60 mil EPDM roof system over the cover board. Install cured and uncured EPDM flashing systems. 4. Install new sheet metal flashings and counterflashings. 5. Provide the specified warranties from the membrane manufacturer and the roofing contractor. Roof Deck 8A 1. Remove the existing smooth surfaced asphalt BUR system down to the surface of the wood decking. 2. Set a new underlayment system over the wood decking. 3. Cover the underlayment with an asphalt dimensional strip shingle roof system. 4. Install new asphaltic and sheet metal flashings as detailed. 5. Provide the specified contractor's roofing warranty.
