As of November 29, 2023, project will be starting in spring, approximately April. A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and generally includes the following: 1. Demolition, earthwork, asphalt paving, concrete work, tennis court surfacing, fencing, and landscape restoration. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. The work site is Thornwood High School, 17101 South Park Avenue, South Holland, IL 6060473. On-site construction is scheduled to commence on Monday, October 16, 2023. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary for completion of the work indicated in the Bid Documents including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: demolition, earthwork, concrete work, asphalt pavement, fencing, tennis court surfacing, and landscape restoration. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the Contract Sum. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates for all work performed under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, reject nonconforming bids, reject conditional bids, waive irregularities in the bidding procedures, or to accept any bid that, in its sole opinion, best serves the interests of the District.
