Renovation of a stadium in High River, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
The successful proponent will have total control over the Design Services and Construction of the Work for the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex Large Arena Slab Replacement Project. At a minimum, the scope of work for the "Large Arena Slab Replacement" project includes: Design, supply and installation of functional: Existing header and header trench demolition Existing slab and cooling line demolition. Equipment and components required to install the large arena slab New refrigeration header with capability to independently operate arena sheet New below slab heating system Barrier-free accessibility to ice surfaces Ice sheets Replace existing snow melt pit grating with new grating c/w pneumatic open/close operation. Controls for pneumatic operation to be accessible while seated in ice re-surfacer. Pedestrian and worker warning system to be developed and installed for instances while the ice pit is in "open" position. Retain the services of a qualified geotechnical firm to conduct a geotechnical study to determine the soil and groundwater conditions under the large arena slab and confirm the extent of remediation required for support of the new slab. Previous geotechnical investigation reports conducted at the facility are included Appendix F Reinstallation/modification of plexiglass and arena dasher boards to accommodate new design. Reinstallation of netting. All site work must be completed during off season between the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 hockey seasons.
