A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. This project involves roadway improvements consisting of bituminous overlay and shoulder improvements. B. Type of Contract 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. Contractors must also establish a 6.9% goal for female participation and a 0.6% goal for minority participation in the aggregate on-site construction work force for contracts in excess of $10,000 as per the notice of requirements for affirmation action as contained in the contract documents. The project includes roadway improvements on various roadways in the Township. The particular items of work to be included in the bid proposal are identified more specifically in the Bid Documents and in the Contract Specifications. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. A ten percent (10%) Bid Bond or ten percent (10%) security deposit with a certified check must be submitted with the bid. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.
