The project is located along Springfield Lake Outlet from east of Massillon Road to Homewood Avenue and is the reconstruction of approximately 3,500 feet of 33-inch diameter sanitary sewer using the CIPP lining process. EPA Goals: 1.3% MBE and 1.0% WBE City of Akron Local Goal: 18% EDGE/DBE/MBE/WBE/SBE/VBE (minimum 3% WBE) Disadvantaged Business (DBE) participation goals (subcontracts, materials, supplies) have been set on this Project for those certified as DBE's in accordance with a federal agency such as the Small Business Administration or the Department of Transportation or by an approved State of Ohio agency. The Unified Certification Program (UCP) administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) can provide necessary DBE certifications. This procurement is subject to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) policy of encouraging the participation of small businesses in rural areas (SBRAs).
