Site work for a water / sewer project in Richmond, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Provide funding for installation of water mains to serve new customers and meter programs for the rehabilitation of existing water mains and services. It is estimated to replace 58,000 feet of main and 300 to 500 services in FY 2023. Also included are ancillary projects to renew or replace mains in conjunction with projects being done by other City of Richmond agencies or the State. This project also allows for the purchase of replacement vehicles and equipment used to provide services throughout the Department of Public Utilities Water Utility service territory. Project is included City of Richmond - Procurement Fiscal Year 2025-2029. As of July 22, 2025, per owner, this project is a placeholder project for ongoing work, the detailed projects are developed as the projects get more defined. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
