Site work for a water / sewer project in Portsmouth, Virginia. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Provide funds to relocate a water main that runs in the Commonwealth Railroad right-of-way. The city has been directed to relocate the water main and a grant from the Virginia Department of Rail and Transportation will reimburse Norfolk for 70 percent of the relocation cost. The net cost to the Water Fund will be $5.9 million. As of August 15, 2024, per owner, construction of the Commonwealth Railroad pipeline is tentatively scheduled to begin late this year or early next year.
