The primary work area consists of 12 separate forested stands, scattered throughout the Installation. The total area to be treated is 207 acres; of which 122 acres being site prep spray and 84 acres for release. The work sites lie in the Northern and Southern Maneuver areas. Work area boundaries are generally identified by cover type changes. Sensitive environmental areas will be identified, and no work will be undertaken in these areas. **Be advised - some of the areas are rutted, rocky and rough. Maps with spray polygons will be provided by Ft. Barfoot Forestry staff in shapefile format (.shp). Maps to be distributed at Pre-Bid Conference/Site-Showing. The area is made up of gently rolling terrain (generally 3 to 6%) with some areas exceeding 8% along drainage ways. The work area has mostly well-defined drainage patterns. Vegetative cover on the separate treatment areas varies depending on crop tree density and target woody competition. A good, all-weather gravel road network connects all treatment areas. Work must commence within 30 days of award of contract. All work must be completed no later than October 15, 2023. Weather clause has been accounted for in the above work schedule
