RIGHT OF PROTEST: Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in Florida Statutes shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120, Florida Statutes. The contractor will carry public liability insurance (to be purchased upon notification of award) in the amounts specified below, including the contracted liability assumed by the contractor, and will deliver a Certificate of Insurance specifying such limits, and with the Board as an additional insured to the Maintenance Department, 124 Louis Broer Road, East Palatka, FL 32131. In addition, the insurer must agree to give The Board thirty (30) days' written notice of its decision to cancel coverage. The purpose and intent of this Request for Proposal issued by The Board is to establish a contract between The Board and a floor covering contractor to supply and install carpet, vinyl composite tile, or other floor covering as required by The Board. Any floor covering offered as a response to this Request for Proposal must be on the Florida School Plant Management Association (FSPMA) certified list or must meet or exceed all Federal Governments specifications prior to the date of this Request for Proposal opening. Example, composition tile is not certified by the FSPMA; however, it must meet Federal Government specification such as SS-T-312B, Type 4, Composition1. The Putnam County School District reserves the right to utilize any other Putnam County or State of Florida Contract, other school district contracts, other governmental agency contracts, verifiable sole source, or to directly negotiate/purchase per School Board Policy 7.14 and/or State Board Rule 6a-1.012, as currently enacted or as amended from time to time, in lieu of any offer received or award made as a result of this proposal.
