Engineering consulting services for the detailed design of Brock Road (Regional Road 1) four lane widening from Taunton Road to Alexander Knox Road (Concession 5), in the City of Pickering TIMELINE: Detailed design is ongoing. Utility relocations are ongoing through 2026. A tender for Advanced roadway illumination has been issued & closes late November 2025. An advanced contract for streetlighting is planned for early 2026 and a temporary traffic signal at the Taunton Road and Brock Road intersection is planned for early 2027 to facilitate the widening project. Updates may be available spring 2026.
