The Town of Breckenridge is soliciting written bids from qualified parties to be considered. Interested parties shall submit a written bid by the stated deadline, meet the established criteria as described in the attached instructions, and represent the intent, proven capability, and true commitment. Information submitted will be subject to verification. The Town of Breckenridge is seeking bids for the Routine Pedestrian Bridge Inspections & Load Capacity Ratings in the Town of Breckenridge. The Contractor will be responsible for all preparation work that may be necessary. The Contractor will be responsible for any and all tools and or equipment necessary to complete the work in a safe manner. The scope of work will include: 1) Conduct a routine inspection of eleven (11) pedestrian bridges within the Town of Breckenridge limits, approximately a 5.5 mile area. All bridges have open access and cross the Blue River. Each bridge varies in width, materials and in general size. The average approximate length of each bridge is 50 feet. Two (2) of the bridges are covered. 2) Load capacity rating for all eleven (11) pedestrian bridges. All pedestrian bridges shall be rated for safe load-carrying capacity using acceptable standards. Material properties should be conservatively estimated if no material specifications or other records are available. 3) See attached documents for the specific location of each pedestrian bridge. The inspection will need to be completed no later than 5:00pm on November 24th, 2023 and can begin as soon the bid has been awarded. There will not be a pre-bid meeting. Following the question submission deadline, a bid addendum will be published to the Town website. Question Submission Deadline - 10/4/2023 @ 11:00am This Contract or any interest therein, may not be assigned without prior, written consent of the Town Representative. The Town may request supplemental information or clarification of stated requirements provided up until a final award is made. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids received as a result of this request, to waive formalities, informalities, or irregularities, technical defects, or clerical errors in any bid, as the interest of the Town my require. The purpose of the following instructions is to furnish general information to prospective bidders. These instructions are not intended to limit the bidder, but instead provide information as to the basic minimal requirements. Bidders are encouraged to read the full Request for Bid to ensure that the bid submitted is tailored specifically to meet the expectations of the Town of Breckenridge. The application, together with supplemental narrative not to exceed ten (ten) typed pages, will be used to evaluate bids. Issuing Office This request for bid is issued by the Public Works Department, Kyle Gilmore, kyleg@townofbreckenridge.com, Public Works Parks Assistant Manager for the Town of Breckenridge. Any questions can be directed to Kyle Gilmore, Parks Assistant Manager in writing at kyleg@townofbreckenridge.com by October 4th, 2023 @11:00am. All bids shall have the email subject of "2023 RFB - Routine Pedestrian Bridge Inspections & Load Capacity Rating" with the contractor's name immediately following. o Emails must have the completed bid documents attached.
