The existing metal screw down roof and insulation system must be removed. New screw down metal roof and insulation system needs to be installed in the same area as the removal. There is also minor associated building maintenance to existing metal wall exterior panels. The Contractor shall follow all applicable City County, State and Federal codes and regulations. Protect the surrounding area including other structures, sidewalks, and vegetation. The contractor shall maintain a safe work area around the facility. It is preferred that only roofing material that can be removed and replaced on the same day shall be completed. No overnight building interior exposure may occur during construction. If the contractor has a secondary way of sealing the roof from weather entering the building during afterhours time, this can be suggested in the scope of work and pricing of the work. If any materials or equipment are harmed during the roofing process, the contractor will be fined damages. Construction activities may not impede the current daily operations and all work areas must be coordinated with the facility manager 48hrs in advance of needing an identifiable work area. One interior working bay will be made available for roofing to occur in that area with no city operations work happening in that bay as the roofing contractor works their way across the building. Any exterior openings, including doors and windows, must be secured and protected with plywood if exposed overnight and must be coordinated with the facility manager.
