**As of November 10, 2023, project was awarded to Duke’s Root Control, Inc, awarded amount is $326,744.26.** Any questions regarding the contract documents should be directed to Laura Webb, Associate Engineer, at 650- 522-7322 or at lwebb@cityofsanmateo.org The estimated construction cost of this project is $320,000. This estimate is not based on a "contractor's cost take off" of the project but is derived from an averaging of costs for work on similar projects in the area of which the City is aware. This figure is given to indicate the relative order of magnitude of this project and is not intended to influence or affect in any way the amount bid for this project. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid , cashier's check, or certified check made payable to the City of San Mateo in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount of the bid.The "Payment " (Material and Labor ) shall be for not less than 100 percent of the contract price, to satisfy claims of material suppliers and of mechanics and laborers employed by it on the work. The shall be maintained by the Contractor in full force and effect until the completed work is accepted by the Agency, and until all claims for materials and labor are paid, and shall otherwise comply with the Civil Code. Said City Representative shall report the results of the bidding to the City Council at a later date, at which time the City Council may award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder as so reported; or as the City's interest may dictate, City Council may exercise its right to modify the award or to reject any or all bids.
