The California Conservation Corps (CCC) San Luis Obispo Center is looking for bids for general exterior repairs to three (3) buildings, along with window replacement on various buildings throughout our campus. Most buildings on the campus were constructed in the WWII era, while some buildings received updates in the 1980s. Portions of the buildings have severe dry rot and damage from rodents and pests. Much of the buildings exteriors have exceeded their intended service life. Scope of Work: Building 1527 Exterior/Interior Repairs and Paint Exterior 1. Install new Tyvek vapor barrier (or approved alternate). 2. Install (over existing siding) approximately 2940 square feet of new 4 on center (O.C.) T1-11 siding. Nailing to be performed at 12 O.C. in the field and 6 O.C. on edges with 8D galvanized nails. 3. Remove/Replace twenty-four (24) windows with white vinyl Milguard V250 StyleLine series windows. Like for like. See Attachment D. 4. Install new 1" x 4" trim at all corners, around windows and doors with 8D galvanized nails. 5. Install new T1-11 skirting with 8D galvanized nails. 6. Install 2"x 8" fascia/rake with 16D galvanized nails. 7. Remove/Replace stairs, railing and decking at front entrance of the structure. 8. Demolish exterior water heater closet. 9. Install one (1) new 32 x 80 16-guage primed steel door with welded frame. Install commercial grade weather stripping and locking handle set. See Attachment A. 10. Prime and paint all exterior surfaces of the structure. See Attachment B. Interior 1. Repair all damaged drywall and texture to match. Prime and paint all repaired drywall areas to match. See Attachment B. Building 1552 Exterior/Interior Repairs, Roofing and Paint Exterior 1. Install new Tyvek vapor barrier (or approved alternate). 2. Install (over existing siding) 1600 square feet of new 4 O.C. T1-11 siding. Nailing to be performed at 12 O.C. in the field and 6 O.C. on edges with 8D galvanized nails. 3. Remove/Replace ten (10) windows with white vinyl Milguard V250 StyleLine series windows. Like for like. See Attachment D. 4. Install new 1" x 4" trim at all corners, around windows and doors with 8D galvanized nails. 5. Install new 2 x 10 facia with 16D galvanized nails. 6. Install two (2) new 36 x 80 16-guage steel doors with welded frame. Install commercial grade weather stripping. Remove and re-install existing door hardware. See Attachment A. 7. Prime and paint all exterior surfaces of the structure. See Attachment B. Roofing 1. Install new roof shingles (overlay). Make all necessary repairs to existing roof sheathing prior to installing approximately 25 squares of new charcoal colored asphalt shingles with approximately 46 LF of ridge. See Attachment C. 2. Provide and install all new roof flashings and paint to match. Interior 1. Repair all damaged drywall and texture to match. Prime and paint all repaired drywall areas to match. See Attachment B. Building 1554 Exterior Repairs, Roofing and Paint Exterior 1. Install new Tyvek vapor barrier (or approved alternate). 2. Install (over existing siding) 4000 square feet of new 4 O.C. T1-11 siding. Nailing to be performed at 12 O.C. in the field and 6 O.C. on edges with 8D galvanized nails. 3. Remove and frame/infill four (4) skylights. Includes interior framing of skylight wells, insulation, drywall, texture to match, prime and paint. See Attachment B. 4. Install new 1" x 4" trim at all corners, around windows and doors with 8D galvanized nails. 5. Install new 2 x 8 facia with 16D galvanized nails. 6. Install approximately 360 LF of 2x12 Appearance Grade Douglas Fir dimensional lumber with 16D galvanized nails. 7. Install four (4) new 36 x 80 16-guage primed steel doors with welded frame and one (1) set of 16-guage primed steel double doors with welded frames. Install commercial grade weather stripping. Remove and re-install existing door hardware. See Attachment A. 8. Prime and paint all interior and exterior surfaces of the structure. See Attachment B. Roofing 1. Install new roof shingles (overlay). Make all necessary repairs to existing roof sheathing prior to installing approximately 41 squares of new charcoal colored asphalt shingles and approximately 150 LF of ridge. See Attachment C. 2. Install approximately 250 LF of new white colored 5 seamless rain gutters with two (2) downspouts per side. 24-gage metal with Kynar 500 finish. 3. Provide and install all new roof flashings and paint to match. Multi-Building Window Replacement 1. Remove/Replace fourteen (14) windows with white vinyl Milguard V250 StyleLine series windows (like for like) on various buildings on the campus. See Attachment D.
