The work consists of a new 8 stall metal building assembly bus barn, approximate size 50'-0"x120'-0", electrical and site prep and grading associated with such at Midland Middle School as indicated in the bid documents for Midland Community Unit School District No. 7, 901 Hilltop Drive Sparland, Illinois 61565. Contract Type: Single prime lump sum contract. The site will be available for viewing on this date. Owner reserves the right to disqualify bidders that do not complete a site visit. Additional visits will be at the convenience of the Owner. Site visits that are not pre-arranged with the school district representative will not be permitted. Availability of Bidding Documents: Bidding Documents will be available on and after September 21, 2023 and may be examined/obtained at the Architect's Plan Room at website. The Contractor shall be required to comply with the Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Act (Public Act 95-0635). Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). All Contractor's bonds shall include a provision as will guarantee the faithful performance of such prevailing wage clause as provided by this bid specification or contract.
