Request for Documented Qualifications and Quotes, Professional Contracting Services for 2023 Residential Wind Mitigation Projects located in Carrabelle, Florida. The City of Carrabelle is requesting documented qualifications and quotes for professional contractor services for wind retrofitting residential homes located within the City of Carrabelle corporate limits. All wind retrofit activity will be based on the most current Florida Building Code edition. Wind retrofit services may include, but are not limited to, shutter installation, door replacement, roof replacement, fascia/soffit repair, window replacement, strapping of all roof attachments, and gable end bracing. All residential homes will have an individual scope of work. Contractors will bid on the entire project for each individual scope of work. The contractor shall provide or contract all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supervision as indicated in the bid packets. The City will assist with the permitting process, however contractor is responsible for all fees and contractor related paperwork associated with permits, as part of their bid. The contractor must have a proven positive track record, extensive experience in wind mitigation or related construction work, hold a State of Florida Certified Building Contractors License, hold all required local licenses or certifications, hold all required insurances, and be registered with the Franklin County Planning and Zoning Department. The City of Carrabelle reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof and/or to award such bid that is deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The City of Carrabelle also reserves the right to reject the bid of any bidder who has previously failed to perform adequately after having once been awarded a prior bid for furnishing materials mentioned in this bid. Request for services may continue until end of program.
