Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Eugene, Oregon. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This Ward 3 project will redesign Franklin Boulevard from 11th Avenue to I-5. The project will include conversions of signalized intersections to multilane roundabouts, reduction of total number of travel lanes, reallocation of space or protected bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and the addition of a second bus rapid transit lane. Additional operations and maintenance costs are expected for this project, but it is too early in the project lifecycle to determine a reliable estimate. Project is included in FY2023-2029 Capital Improvement Plan. As of September 8, 2025, project construction not expected until 2026 at the earliest, engineering is underway. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
