Update: This project will improve stormwater capacity to North Gilham Road and the downstream system to foster future development. A piped system will eliminate steep and unsafe roadside ditches and allow for safety and pedestrian improvements to Gilham Road. Green infrastructure retrofits will improve water quality while adding capacity to the system. This project supports the City of Eugene NPDES Municipal Stormwater Permit and Comprehensive Stormwater Management Plan by rehabilitating a portion of the municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4). This project supports the Climate Recovery Ordinance by implementing Action R32 of the Climate Action Plan 2.0.
