This Invitation for Bids (IFB) provides interested contractors with information to enable them to prepare and submit bids for consideration by the City of Eagle Pass (CITY) for Lay Down of Asphalt Pavement of an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 tons of Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete ("HMAC"). Placement of the HMAC will be in numerous locations within the City requiring multiple mobilizations and on as needed basis as determined by the Public Works Department. See ATTACHMENT 12 for Street List. ' All bids must be in sealed envelopes with the bidder's name and/or company name and "Bid for IFB#2024-011 City of Eagle Pass Laydown Asphalt Pavement HMAC" clearly written on the outside of the envelope. Bids will not be accepted via E-Mail or Facsimile. Any requests for interpretation, clarification, etc. must be submitted in writing to the CITY Interim Purchasing Manager no later than five (5) business days prior to bid opening or will not be considered. The CITY, at its sole discretion, reserves the right, for any reason and at any time, to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities and/or irregularities, to be the sole judge of quality of workmanship, to waive any minor specification, to negotiate the terms of specifications for the project, to modify any part of the request, to issue a new request for bids, and to award the contract in a manner which best serves the interests of the CITY according to the best judgment of the CITY.
