**As of December 20, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. An award is expected to be made January 10, 2024. The Avondale Lift Station is located behind the sidewalk along Avondale Road. The Avondale Lift Station improvements include the demolition and disposal of mechanical and electrical equipment at the Avondale Lift Station as outlined in the contract drawings. The improvements also include, but are not limited to; fabrication and installation of two new 10 HP dry-pit submersible pumps and the pumping unit s reinforced concrete pedestal, 4 diameter ductile iron suction piping and gate valves, 4 diameter ductile iron discharge piping, 4 diameter gate and check valves, 4 diameter bypass connection, new sump pump and sump pump discharge piping, installation of a new wet well lining system, rehabilitation of concrete within the wet well, and all electrical improvements as shown on the contract drawings to furnish a complete, operable lift station system following all indicated rehabilitation and improvements. This work also includes required dewatering of existing wet well and facilities to accommodate improvements, furnishing and conducting temporary sewage bypassing during construction, and all startup and testing of new equipment.
