Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Honolulu, Hawaii. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Proposed new wastewater pump station (WWPS) in the vicinity of the existing Waipahu WWPS. Project may also include reconstruction of part or all of the existing Waipahu WWPS, as well as the associated force main and gravity sewer connections at the WWPS. Alternative configurations and sites to be considered. The project is proposed to be done in coordination with the new proposed Pearl City/Waipahu Trunk Sewer project, and allow the elimination of the existing upstream Pearl City WWPS. As of September 8, 2025, this project is included in the City and County of Honolulu's Fiscal Year 2025 -2030 CIP and funding for construction is allocated for FY 2029. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
