Site work for a water / sewer project in Honolulu, Hawaii. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project will address projected hydraulic deficiencies in the Manoa sewer mainlines and in the Manoa collection sewers, and will address structural deficiencies as determined in the planning phase. Project scope includes sewers located in the vicinity of East Manoa Road, Lowrey Avenue, Kahaloa Drive, Woodlawn Drive, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa Campus. With FY22 funds for planning, the project also includes Consent Decree required segments allowed to be done "after 2020", for project SI-CS-15, and segments in the vicinity needing upgrade to provide capacity. As of September 9, 2025, this project is included in the City and County of Honolulu's Fiscal Year 2025 -2030 CIP and funding for construction is allocated for FY 2027 and FY 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
