Any questions regarding this project, technical or not, shall be submitted via email, care of Liz Lentz, elizabeth.lentz@okemosk12.net, no later than 5:00 PM, Thursday, November 2, 2023. All questions will be answered in writing by 5:00 PM , Monday, November 6, 2023 with a copy to all bidders who have provided an email address. Board of Education - Action/Award November 27, 2023 E. It is the vendors responsibility to assure that all proper equipment and supplies are delivered for installation. Any mis-shipped, mis-sized and/or missing parts is the vendors responsibility to furnish. F. All bids shall be submitted on the forms provided, with the price stated as requested. All requests must be signed by an authorized officer of the company. G. All bids shall be accompanied by a sworn statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner(s) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Education of the School District or the Superintendent of the School District. A template is included in Attachment C. H. All bids shall be accompanied by the Iran Economic Sanctions Act Certification which certifies that the bidder is not an Iran-linked business. This document is required by law, MCL 129.313. A template is included in Attachment D. I. Applicable Michigan use and sales tax do not apply to this project. Okemos Public Schools is exempt from states sales tax for equipment purchases. J. Okemos Public Schools' Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject all or any portion of a bid and is not bound to accept the low bid. A bid may be rejected, if not accompanied by any data required by the Bidding Documents, or which is in any way incomplete or irregular. Okemos Public Schools shall have the right to waive informalities or irregularities in a bid received, and to accept a bid which, in the judgment of Okemos Public Schools, is in the best interests of Okemos Public Schools. Late bids will not be opened. K. Please submit three (2) references, including at least one Michigan School that you have done work with the bidder in the past five (5) years. L. Bids may be modified or withdrawn before the time established for receipt of bids. After such time bids shall remain firm for sixty (60) days. M. Pricing provided must include all costs for the equipment, shipping and handling, and any other charges. N. See attachment A for manufacturer and product specifications. Note: Equivalents may be considered; however, proposals for equivalent materials must be disclosed as an exception to the terms and conditions of this RFP. All items proposed must be new, not reconditioned.
