General Nature of Public Improvement. This project includes all materials, equipment, transportation and labor needed to install approximately 4,509 linear feet of continuous sewer lining at various locations in the City of Clive, Iowa. Project items include pipe lining (8" and 12" diameter), service reinstatement, traffic control and other minor activities related to the proper installation of the liner. Specific project location along with the kind and approximate quantity of materials to be used shall be as set forth in the Plans and Specifications. Sales Tax. The bidder shall not include sales tax in the bid. Rather, the City will issue tax exemption certificates to the successful low bidder after the project has been awarded. The City of Clive reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Anyone wishing to attend the bid opening must comply with the City's mask requirements at the time and comply with social distancing practices Time for Commencement and Completion of Work, Work on the improvements shall commence upon receipt of the written Notice to Proceed and shall be substantially completed by April 5, 2024. One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) will be assessed for each calendar day that the work remains incomplete thereafter. Bid Security. No bid security is required. Performance, payment and maintenance bonds are required. Preference of Products and Labor.
