Once the results have been determined by staff, bid results may be obtained on the Public Purchase website under Bid # 2023 TAXIWAY H CRACK SEAL PROJECT. 1. The purpose of this project is to extend the life of an asphalt taxiway. The asphalt is in good condition with some cracking along joints creating mostly longitudinal and transverse cracking. The project taxiways are marked with taxiway centerline markings, border line markings, and runway hold markings. As part of the project, we ask to avoid crack sealing over these markings. 2. The area consists of a four-acre area of asphalt taxiways. The location is the most northern taxiway, Taxiway H, and part of Taxiway R at the Chico Regional Airport. The area is represented in the attached map. 3. Proposed Activity a. Clean & blow out cracks, and crack seal cracks. b. The project construction and staging will be on existing pavement. The staging area as depicted in the attached map, will be on or next to the edge of the North Apron of the airport. c. Vehicle routes consist of entering the gate next to the staging area, and straight onto the project area. d. Anticipation to have this project completed by end of May 2024. e. No below-grade soil disruption is expected. The work, in general, consists of crack filling an aircraft taxiway at Chico Regional Airport. The area consists of four-acre asphalt taxiway & aircraft run-up area. Work includes materials, labor, services, mobilization, and equipment necessary to perform the work as indicated in the Project Description and General Provisions, and as necessary to complete the Contract. The location of the work is the Chico Regional Airport, 150 Airpark Blvd, Chico CA 95973. The Contract period shall be eighteen months (18) from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with the possibility of extension. At the time the City awards the Contract for this project, the Contractor shall possess a Class A, C-8, C-12 and/or C-32 Contractor License and shall maintain same in a current status for the duration of the Contract. Contractor shall also obtain a City of Chico Business License and shall maintain same in a current status for the duration of the Contract. PREVAILING WAGES: PAYMENT REQUIRED - Prevailing wages are required to be paid to members of each craft or classification performing work on this project. Bidders may only submit their bids on the bid document forms provided by the City titled Bid Proposal Form. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked on its outside with 2023 Taxiway H Crack Seal Project. Any addenda issued before the time in which to submit bids expires shall form a part of the Contract Documents and shall be covered in the bid. Each bidder shall confirm receipt of any and all addenda in the space provided on Page BP-2 of the Bid Proposal Form. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashiers check, or a bid bond in favor of the CITY OF CHICO in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the calculated annual bid price, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into the Contract. City of Chico reserves the right to retain the checks or bonds of the two lowest bidders until an approved contract has been signed. All other bidders checks will be returned by the City of Chico.
