Saving Project...

Site work for a water / sewer project in Spokane, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Spokane Riverside Park Water Reclamation Facility (RPWRF) is requesting bids to construct and execute bypass pumping of the Clarke Avenue Lift Station in order to further facilitate the replacement of electrical switch gear at the station. This work includes, but is not limited to, installation, operation, and removal of a temporary bypass pumping system. Question Deadline 11/01/2023 at 9:00 PM PT Questions: Please call (509) 625-6527 Email (preferable) RRinderle@spokanecity.org The purpose of this project is to perform the maintenance on the Clarke Avenue Lift Station necessary to return the facility to fully functioning operation. Currently the electrical switch gear at the station needs replacement. This work will be performed by others under a separate contract, but to facilitate the required electrical work the power to the station must be shut off and disconnected. In order to shut off the power, a full station bypass is necessary. As such, coordination and cooperation with other work and contractors on site will be required. To facilitate the bypass, the full size port in the 24-inch force main has already been brought to the surface near the existing lift station and fitted with a flanged end as the attachment point for the bypass piping. Contractor shall be a Washington State registered "and" licensed contractor at time of Bid submittal. Contactor must have fulfilled the Department of Labor and Industries' Public Works and Prevailing Wage Training Requirement at the time of Bid submittal. In the event the bidder is awarded the contract and fails to complete the work within the time limit or any agreed upon time extensions, liquidated damages shall be paid to the City of Spokane in the amount of zero ($0.0) per working day until the work is satisfactorily completed. The work, Bypass Pumping Operations, under this contract constitutes a public work under state law. The bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond bound to the City of Spokane, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Bid bonds must be by a surety company authorized to do business as a surety in Washington State. As soon as the bid prices have been compared, the City will release the bid security of all except the three (3) lowest responsible bidders. When the construction agreement is signed and returned with executed payment and performance bonds, the other bid security will be released. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor deviations from the specifications, to waive minor informalities in bidding, whenever it is in the City's best interest, and to accept or reject all or part of this Request for Bids, at the prices shown.
