Sealed bids to furnish Collection and Disposal of Recycling Services for Residential Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) For South Abington Township from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026, or alternatively, January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2028 Each bid shall include a certified check or bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid price for the first contract year. Such checks shall be payable to the order of South Abington Township. Such checks or bonds shall be retained by the Township until the Contract has been awarded, at which time the Township will return the checks of the unsuccessful bidders. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Certificate of Non-Collusion, and all other documents as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Contractor shall comply with the requirements of the Non-Discrimination Clause of the Contract. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the municipality. The Request for Bids (RFB) provides for a comment period until Friday, November 10, 2023. Bids shall be opened on Monday November 27, 2023 at noon at the South Abington Township Municipal Building, 104 Shady Lane Road, Chinchilla, PA 18410 [Supervisors' Meeting Room, Second Floor]. The Township solicit from the general public and from potential Bidders during this comment period any recommendations regarding facilities and programs for municipal solid waste collection and disposal services and recycling services needed by the Joint Municipalities.
