This project involves tree and shrub removal and trimming along Lake Blvd in the City of Shasta Lake. There are approximately 117 trees/shrubs of various sizes to be removed and trimming of all vegetative material encroaching within 5' of the edge of pavement within the project area. No bid will be considered unless it is made on the blank Proposal forms provided by the City and unless it is accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of cash, bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the City of Shasta Lake, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. Each bidder must be licensed as required by law. The City of Shasta Lake reserves the right to reject any or all bids. He will provide proof of insurance as provided herein; that he will begin the work within Fifteen (15) Calendar Days after receiving notice from the City to proceed, and diligently prosecute the same to completion before the expiration of 30 working days from the date of commencement of the work, and that as provided for in the General Provisions, the liquidated damage shall be in the sum of Five Hundred and Seventy Five Dollars ($575.00) per day for each and every calendar days delay in finishing the work beyond the time described herein, and that he will take in full payment therefor the following unit or lump sum prices, as the case may be, to wit. All Contractors and Subcontractors shall possess appropriate Contractor's Licenses for their trade at the time the contract is awarded. To be considered qualified to perform the work outlined in these Contract Documents, the Contractor shall have specific experience with similar tree and shrub removal and trimming operations. Contractor shall, upon City's request, provide written documentation of at least 3 years experience with similar tree removal projects. The Contractor must be a qualified line clearance tree trimmer per DIR Title 8 Section 2951.1 - Line Clearance (Tree Trimming) Operations and shall provide proof of certification.
