Replacement of the existing 10" clay main sewer from the building to the main at the street. Bids shall be accompanied by a company bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the bid price. The bonds shall be in the form annexed hereto. The condition of the bid bond is that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder shall sign a contract for the doing of work within three (3) days after being called upon to do so by the Owner. The form of such bonds shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the CCDC approved bond forms. Bid bonds shall be signed and sealed by both the bidders duly authorized officers and the bonding companys duly authorized officer. The contractor shall provide and pay for an approved company performance bond in the amount of the fifty percent (50%) of the contract price within seven (7) days after being called upon to do so by the Owner. It shall be the contractors responsibility to provide his bonding company with a copy of the Owners bid form to ensure the bonding requirements as set forth therein are complied with. A certificate verifying liability insurance coverage for any loss or damage that may arise to any person or property resulting from the operations of the bidder, or his subtrades, with respect to the work, including all welding, cutting, torching, and hot works. The limits of liability for this policy shall not be less than $5,000,000.00 inclusive limits for all work.
