Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Spring House, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This Project proposes to install a 40-foot and 60-foot long pedestrian bridges on Bethlehem Pike (SR 2018) in Lower Gwynedd Township. The contractor will be responsible for excavating, grading, and installing the precast abutments and bridges. Additional improvements include the installation of approximately 340 linear feet of 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalk, which include ADA ramps. A Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to Lower Gwynedd Township along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of Lower Gwynedd Township and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by Lower Gwynedd Township. Click on the electronically tabs. A nominal fee of 0.25% of the bid amount (up to $5,000) is assessed only to bidders awarded contracts. The project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, PA Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the PA Dept. of Labor and Industry. All contractors and subcontractors must be in compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act. In addition, proof of previous experience with this type of work will be required. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. Lower Gwynedd Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informality in the bids. Contractor shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. This project shall be completed in accordance with PennDOT Specifications Publication 408, as last revised, and the Contract Documents. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer by clicking on the Questions tab within PennBid. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be by Addenda and posted within the PennBid Documents. Notifications of Addenda will be emailed to all parties recorded by Engineer as having downloaded the Bidding Documents. Questions received after the posted cut-off date may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
