This Project proposes to install a 40-foot and 60-foot long pedestrian bridges on Bethlehem Pike (SR 2018) in Lower Gwynedd Township. The contractor will be responsible for excavating, grading, and installing the precast abutments and bridges. Additional improvements include the installation of approximately 340 linear feet of 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalk, which include ADA ramps. A Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to Lower Gwynedd Township along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of Lower Gwynedd Township and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by Lower Gwynedd Township. The project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, PA Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the PA Dept. of Labor and Industry. All contractors and subcontractors must be in compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act. In addition, proof of previous experience with this type of work will be required. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. Lower Gwynedd Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informality in the bids. Contractor shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents.
