ROTARY PARK HANDBALL COURTS - PHASE 1 PROJECT The project consists of the first phase of a new handball court facility (1 of 5 courts)at Rotary Park. Included in the project will be excavation, grading, subgrade preparation, 6" aggregate base course, concrete curb, post-tensioned concrete slab court, masonry walls and LED lighting. Rotary Park is located at 2315 Balboa Drive in Bullhead City, Arizona. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a certified or cashier's check made payable to the Owner in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid submitted, or alternatively, through a surety bond issued in the form substantially similar to the one attached to these bid documents or on another form approved by the Owner in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid submitted that conforms with the requirements of 34-201, Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.). The bond document itself must contain the actual bid amount or higher. A statement inserted into the bond form such as "10% of the Bid Amount" is not acceptable. If the bid security provided by the bidder is in the form of a surety bond, solely a surety company or companies holding a certificate of authority to transact surety business in the State of Arizona, issued by the director of the Department of Insurance, pursuant to Title 20, Chapter 2, Article 1, shall execute the surety bond. An individual surety or sureties shall not execute the surety bond, even if the requirements of 7-101 A.R.S. are satisfied. The certified check, cashier's check or surety bond Simultaneously with his delivery of the executed Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish on the forms provided herein, in a sum equal to 100% of the face amount of the Contract awarded: 1) a surety bond as security for the performance of the Contract awarded; and 2) a surety bond as security for the payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection with the project under the Contract awarded, as specified in the General Conditions included herein. Project Completion Date: 90 Calendar days or less after Notice to Proceed. If the Handball Court is not complete, liquidated damages will apply in-full and not be proportional. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or withhold the award of a contract to any bidder for any reason the Owner determines in accordance with the provisions of 34-201 (A) (4), Arizona Revised Statutes.
