Renovation of a detention facility in Faribault, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Project Category Code: Electrical, Fiber Optics Description: A. The work will be done under one prime contract that includes: General, Mechanical, and Electrical construction. B. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. The Minnesota Office of IT Services (MNIT is requesting proposals from vendors interested in providing compliant Data Network Cabling (Structured Cabling System) for Cisco wireless access points. Cabling and all associated equipment must be CAT6 Compliant. Cabling will be required to provide data to access points. Vendor will provide parts, materials, installation, and testing. A cabling map for each site is included in this Request for Bid. Additional Description: This project is Targeted Group/Economically Disadvantaged/Veteran-Owned preference. The Section 00 41 73 Prime Contractor Response Form, which includes the attachments listed in the project manual table of contents, is posted within the VirtuBid area of the QuestCDN Plan Room. The Response Form must be downloaded, completed, and uploaded with the bid before it can be posted. This solicitation includes qualification requirements. Attachment C of the Response Form contains the qualification requirements for the solicitation. Qualification requirements include, but are not limited to: Responding company has completed as a Prime Contractor, not as a subcontractor the work for at least three (3) contracts which have achieved Substantial Completion since December 2018 for construction of campus level fiber deployment and network cabling deployment. Each of these contracts MUST have had a construction value of $150,000 or greater.
