DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work includes the construction of approximately: Removal of existing light poles, to include electric services, bases and wiring; Electric pedestal services; New light poles, with single decorative head and one-sided, banner arms; Concrete foundations for electric pedestals and light poles; Traffic control; and Remove and replace 4" concrete walk as needed for installation and restoration of above items Together with numerous related items of work, all in accordance with Plans and Specifications. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work under this Contract must be completed by midnight, June 28, 2024. BEST VALUE CONTRACTING: A contractor with significant experience is required for this project. The best value contracting process will be used to evaluate proposals. The consideration of proposals will include price, but also performance on previous similar projects, availability of equipment, and staff experience to aggregate a technical score as determined by the technical evaluation committee. Fully described in the Request for Proposal documents, the evaluation used will be the price divided by the technical score. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and the right to award the contract in the best interests of the City.
