Site work for a municipal facility in Boulder, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.

The Lewis Mine Fire Mitigation Project - Phase 2 Seeks to Mitigate the Subsurface Mine Fire by Excavating the Burning Coal and Blending This Material With Cold Overburden. The Blended Material Will Then Be Allowed to Rest Until It Has Cooled to a Satisfactory Temperature Before Backfilling. The Primary Excavation Area is Immediately South of the Davidson Ditch (See Map) and Approximately One Half Acre ( Ac) in Size. The Southern Portion of the Fire Mitigation Area Will Be Excavated to a Depth of Approximately Twenty to Thirty Feet, With an Average of Twenty Five Feet (25 Ft) Below Ground Surface, to Reach the Bottom of the Mine Workings. Then a Series of Trenches Will Be Utilized to Excavate Up to the Edge of the Concrete Lined Water Conveyance Ditch. No More Than Ten Feet (10 Ft) of the Concrete Lined Ditch May Be Exposed at Any One Time. Approximately 10,500 Cubic Yards of Material Will Be Excavated and Processed. A Portion of Each Trench Will Be Backfilled With Imported Compacted Structural Fill to Form a Wedge Supporting the Ditch. The Excavation, Mitigation and Structural Fill Installation Considered Critical Path Activities and Must Be Completed by March 15, 2024. A One Acre (1 Ac) Area of Mine Subsidence to the West and South of the Fire Mitigation Area Will Be Ripped and Regraded Utilizing Onsite Materials. Once Excavation and Mitigation is Complete, All Disturbed Areas Will Be Re-contoured, Seeded and Mulched. This Bid is accompanied by the required Bid Guaranty.
