Project Narrative: The Woodford State Fish and Wildlife Area in Woodford County is Owned and Operated by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (Dnr). The Existing Septic System Serving the Site Office and Maintenance Buildings Has Backed Up Numerous Times in the Maintenance Shop and Office Causing Damage to the Building. Upon Investigating the System in the Field With Camera, It Was Found That There Were Two Separate Septic Systems for the Maintenance/ Office Building and the Site Residence. Both Systems Were Found to Need Repairs. Scope of Work: This Project Will Include Removing and Installing Two Septic Tanks and Two Distribution Boxes, Removing and Installing Septic System Pipe, Cleaning Existing Septic Fields, Pavement Removal and Repairs, Trench Backfilling and Miscellaneous Work. Attachments: The Following Documents Are Included: 1) Plans 2) Special Provisions 3) County Private Sewage Permit Forms 4) Contractor Schedule of Values Form Project Specifications & Requirements: Herein After the Terms "Owner", "ownership", "department", "Engineer", or Any Derivatives of Such, Shall Mean the Illinois Department of Natural Resources or Its Designated Representative and the Term "Contractor" Shall Mean the Entity Who Proposes to Perform the Work Herein Described or Its Designated Subcontractors. Once All Construction is Complete, the Contractor is Required to Clean-up and Dispose of All Construction Debris at an Authorized Off-site Disposal Facility. Environmental Requirements: Weather Conditions: Proceed With Work Only When Existing and Forecasted Weather Conditions Will Permit Work to Be Installed in Compliance With Manufacturer's Recommendations and When Substrate is Completely Dry. Project Specifications: 1) Construction Inspection Any Work Performed Without the Presence of an Owner's Designated Representative to Inspect Said Construction Shall Not Be Accepted for Payment as Directed by the Owner. Contractor Shall Notify Ownership a Minimum of 24 Hours in Advance of the Start of Construction or the Continuation of Construction Following a Pause in Work. 2) if, in the Opinion of the Contractor, Any Part of the Specifications or Drawing(S) Does Not Comply With the Laws, Codes, Regulations, and Specifications; That Matter Shall Be Referred to the Attention of the Architect/engineer for a Decision Before Proceeding With That Part of the Work. There Shall Be No Changes in the Drawing(S) and Specifications Made Without the Approval of the Architect/engineer.
