The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County, Maryland (hereafter referred to as HOC) is soliciting proposals from qualified Construction Managers who are licensed and insured to conduct business within the State of Maryland. Construction Managers shall provide single source construction oversight for the construction of Wheaton Gateway (the "Project") located in Montgomery County, Maryland. At this time, HOC is procuring a general contractor to provide pre-construction and construction services for the Project. To meet the project's timeline and avoid delay, it is the intent of HOC to select the winning General Contractor based upon the responses received in accordance with the GC RFP with feedback from the construction manager in accordance with the scope of this RFP. While the GC RFP is progressing, HOC shall continue to develop the ultimate construction documents including earning necessary permits governing the same (the "Final Construction Documents"). This Contract envisions the Construction Manager assisting HOC with selection and engagement of the general contractor (the winning general contractor being the "General Contractor" or "GC") through project close out.
