The County of Wilkes (Sponsor) is requesting the submittal of Statements of Qualifications from qualified aviation engineering and consulting firms for providing professional airport engineering and planning services for the Wilkes County Airport in Wilkes County, North Carolina. Work is anticipated to be accomplished through a combination of local and State funds, as well as FAA grants. Anticipated projects may include, but are not limited to, runway extensions, runway safety areas, airfield pavement overlays, taxiways, aircraft aprons, airfield lighting, NAVAID's, instrument landing systems, fueling systems, hangars, terminal site work, land acquisition assistance, master planning, feasibility studies, miscellaneous planning, and other projects as determined by the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right to reject any and all submittals, to waive any technicalities or irregularities, and to award contracts based on the highest and best interest of the Wilkes County Airport. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
