As of December 22, 2023, construction of this project is underway and expected to be completed by mid-February, 2024, however, completion of construction is weather dependent. Engineer Esitamte: $270,000 - $290,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. This project is to remove and replace the in-field substrate at the Southridge Sports Complex. This project will encompass the removal of 2,000 cu. yd. of in-field dirt on four baseball fields, and replace with aggregate according to specifications for a new in-field turf system. The project will also include the construction of a storage yard in the adjacent city field. All removed in-field dirt will be stored in the newly constructed storage yard in the adjacent city field. The City will post any Addenda and Bidder questions & answers solely through Public Purchase. The City cannot guarantee receipt of all bidder documentation to outside third-party centers. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Kennewick.
