DESCRIPTION Purpose: The purpose of this solicitation is to retain the services of a qualified Mechanical Engineering firm and sub-consultant team to provide support for system upgrades, major maintenance, and repairs to the Seattle Center Monorail trains related to various mechanical systems. This includes engineering services related to automated door systems, train suspension and driveline components, power collector mechanical assemblies, and pneumatic systems as well as assisting with hazard analysis and feasibility assessments for modernizing train propulsion system and other train components. Period of Performance: Work shall be performed over the next five (5) years. The Consultant shall work with the Project Manager to ensure that work performed meets the needs and expectations of the Monorail. This will be a cost-reimbursement with fixed-fee for profit contract, and total work is estimated to be approximately $750,000. Selection for this RFQ is subject to all applicable laws and ordinances. This contract has multiple funding sources and is funded, in part, by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration and is subject to the requirements set forth by the FTA Master Agreement. The Federal clauses applicable to this contract are in the Standard Consultant Contract Template with Federal Clauses. DBE Requirement: A contract goal of 4.5% has been established for this procurement. The DBE goal for this procurement is race conscious. Deadline for Questions via Procureware 11/30/2023 at 4:00 PM
