Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lexington, Tennessee. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The overall purpose of the architectural team is to assist Davidson County Board of Education with the conceptual planning and renovation of the central administration office, "The Evans Center". The selected vendor will design the project, bid the project and provide construction administration for the duration of the project. Below is a listing of renovations: o Add Security Gates/Fencing with Card Readers o Modification of Steel Stairs and Addition of Restrooms and Storage Areas o Install Vinyl Siding o Enclose Porches and Create More Office Space o New Gutters and Downspouts o Repaint the Existing Brick o Remove and Reset the Access to the Cellar Area o Metal Roof Replacement o Encapsulate the Crawlspace o Rebuild and Expand the Loading Dock o Install New Energy Efficient Windows o Pave the Parking Lot o Build Two New Restrooms on Both Floors o Build a New Electrical Room o HVAC Replacement o Remodel/Refurbish Offices by Removing Paneling for new Drywall, paint, and new flooring o Install a Fire Alarm, Security System, Door Access Controls, and Intercoms. o Install an Elevator Davidson County Schools will not reimburse respondents for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of additional information that may be requested during the selection process. It is expected that the Davidson County Board of Education shall utilize the traditional design-bid-build construction delivery. In selecting a designer, the Davidson County Board of Education will consider qualification factors including: 1. training and experience of service provider, especially in school-related projects; 2. planning ability and promptness; 3. experience in specification writing, including reputation for accuracy and sufficiency of detail; 4. experience in the construction of K-12 buildings; 5. reputation for quality of design in appearance and utility; 6. history of thorough inspections and follow-through with jobs; 7. timely completion of projects with the established budgets; 8. relationships with contractors; and 9. any other factors the board deems relevant.
