Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Corning, Iowa. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.

The Project consists of additions and renovations to the entire Elementary School, renovations to the softball and baseball fields, and prep work for new Playground Facilities. Work includes but not limited to building demolition, site utilities, cast-in place concrete, pre-cast panels, metal siding, new membrane roofing, geothermal additions, casework, aluminum storefronts, lockers, bleachers, ballfield netting, fencing, and gymnasium accessories. Each Bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security in a separate, sealed envelope as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, as security that the successful Bidder will enter into a Contract for the work. The Bidders security shall be in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid and shall be in the form of a cashiers check or a certified check drawn on an FDIC insured bank in Iowa or on an FDIC insured bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a Bid Bond on the form provided in the Contract Documents with corporate Surety satisfactory to the Board of Directors of Lamoni Community School District. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. Bid security shall be made payable to Lamoni Community School District. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish within ten (10) days of the award proof of insurance as required by the Bid Documents and a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. Work on the Project shall commence as soon as possible after award of the Contract with material submittals and procurement, mobilization to site on 4/1/2023 for geothermal well installation and remaining of work to commence on 5/24/2024. Project is scheduled to be substantially complete on 6/4/2025 as outlined in the specifications. The final completion date will be on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025, with Final Acceptance to be no later than ninety (90) days after substantial completion. Bids must be a lump sum basis for multiple bid packages as described in the specifications.
