Site work for a mixed-use development in Corning, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a power facility; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Installation of new substation steel, fence, ground grid, grading, crushed rock surfacing, 69kV arrestors, insulators, fuses, group operated switches, aluminum tubular bus, 69x34.5kV-4.16Y/2.4kV substation transformer, transformer concrete pad and approximately 192 lineal feet of underground primary. Demolition/retirement of approximately 355 lineal feet of underground primary. The work shall commence on the day indicated in the Notice to Proceed and shall be substantially complete on or before December 11, 2025 and completed and ready for final payment on or before January 8, 2026. Should the Contractor fail to complete the work in this timeframe, liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day for substantial completion and $500 per calendar day for final completion will be assessed for work not completed within the designated contract terms. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Chapter 26, Section 26.8, and as specified by Corning Municipal Utilities, in the amount fixed in the Instructions to Bidders Question Deadline 12/31/2024
