Renovation of a fire / police facility in Georgetown, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 5,000-square-foot fire / police facility.

Clear Creek County is seeking bids from qualified professional vendors for the application of paint material on walls and epoxy flooring (or equivalent) within the Clear Creek County Jail totaling approximately 5000 square feet. The qualified vendor must show possession of skills necessary to maintain and improve effectiveness, enhance its quality of services, minimize down time and support costs, and ensure security and safety controls at all times. The purpose of this Request-for-Bid is to obtain relevant information, credentials, qualifications, experience and a proposed Project Approach from interested Firms to inform the Board for selection of a consultant to inspect, design epoxy solution (or equivalent), apply epoxy (or equivalent) and paint surfacing, and warranty work and materials. SCOPE OF SERVICES Sheriff s Office Jail - Wall Painting & Flooring Recondition Project "" Normal working hours should be performed between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday. "" Contractor shall provide paint and epoxy material (or equivalent) options to Sheriff s leadership for approval. "" Contractor shall comply with product manufacturer recommendation as included with the product. "" Obtain primary resinous flooring materials including primers, resins, hardening agents, grouting coats and topcoats through one source from a single manufacturer, with not less than ten years of successful experience in manufacturing and installing principal materials as described here. "" Comply with epoxy flooring (or equivalent) manufacturer s written instructions for substrate temperature, ambient temperature, moisture, ventilation and other conditions affecting applications. "" Perform testing of product as recommended by the manufacturer. "" Coordinate application of components to provide optimum adhesion of resinous product to substrate, and optimum intercoat adhesion. Cure epoxy product (or equivalent) according to manufacturer s written instructions. "" Treat floor drains to bridge potential cracks and to maintain protection. "" Remove temporary covering and clean resinous flooring just prior to final inspection. Use cleaning materials as recommended by the product manufacturer. "" A collaborative design process with Sheriff s Office leadership to design an epoxy (or equivalent) and paint solution which fulfills the needs of the Sheriff s Office staff as well as the security restrictions for inmates. "" Epoxy coating (or equivalent) shall be applied to provide sufficient coating and thickness and shall be coped/angled to allow to be applied at the base of the walls and to extend approximately 4 to the current height of existing floor. "" Contractor shall apply a heavier non-slip epoxy resin (or equivalent) at all floor areas. These areas shall be able to be mopped and cleaned. "" Contractor shall, at all times, take any and all steps necessary for maintenance and preservation of all adjacent County property. "" Contractor shall identify which employees will be working on this project including subcontractors. Those employees shall bring photo ID to obtain a County ID badge that shall be worn at all times while on the property. Contractor staff shall return all ID badges to designed personnel at the end of each work day. "" Contractor shall provide daily cleanup of work area and trash removal from the site. "" Provide needed ventilation equipment during application and curing processes. "" Project management: Provide complete project management support inclusive of weekly meetings, coordination, project administration, scheduling, budgeting, design review and closeout. "" Comply with all insurance requirements in accordance with Clear Creek County standards. "" Include an Owner s reserve and contingency amount to be controlled by Clear Creek County; each shall be 10% of the total GMP. "" Any needed demolition and waste disposal. "" Cost estimates.
