Bids are invited for several items and the quantity of work as follows. 1. Drainage improvements of approximately 1,116 linear feet of existing earthen ditch by concrete lining. Complete sets of bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of bidding Documents. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other use. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Lumberton or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Invitation for Bids are expected to be funded by the City of Lumberton through ARPA Funds. No Pre-Bid Conference will be held on this project. The City of Lumberton reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Lumberton for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project Question Deadline: 11/30/2023 at 5:00 PM CT.
