Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) is soliciting bids for licensed HVAC Companies for the permitting requirements installation of 216 Bard Units at various CMS Locations. A 5% bid bond will be required for all bids. 100% Payment and Performance Bonds will be required for successful bidder. CMS reserves the right to select, re-advertise and/or reject any proposal for any reason. SCOPE OF WORK: o Provide all engineering drawings, permits, documents and fees required by CMS and the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for the completion of this project. o Contractors' license number must be on bid. o If permit is required, provide permit numbers to project manager before project begins. o Contractor is responsible for meeting the attached insurance requirements. o Permit numbers must be on invoices. o Contractor is responsible for miscellaneous trade permits and fees. o CMS currently is storing the Bard Units at Building Services located at 3301 Stafford Rd. o Schedule and coordinate unit pick-up with CMS Project Manager Damon Crump. Units are to be expedited from Building Services. o Contractor to provide and install new Bard thermostat capable of humidity control. o Disconnect and reconnect, remove, and dispose of existing Bard Units. o Disconnect and reconnect electrical wiring, control wiring, and condensate piping with any modifications necessary for a turnkey operating system. o Insulate and test all connections. o Labor- installation fees must be included per project_(including alternates) o All truck trips should be included in the quotation. o Clean all areas after installation of equipment. o provide 1 year labor warranty. o Provide a comprehensive list that includes Location, Model and Serial numbers and date installed. o Tag unit with Vendor Information, Installation date and warranty info. o Please ensure quote covers all labor, materials, equipment, equipment rental, taxes and other fees broken down into listed format.
