The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California hereby invites sealed bids for the Gene Pumping Plant Urgent Security Improvements in San Bernardino County, CA in accordance with Specifications No. M-3073. The work consists of various security improvements including 24 security cameras, card readers, door position switches, low-voltage cable work, installation of Metropolitan-Furnished electrical panels, integration with existing Genetec security system, and other appurtenant work as specified and shown on the exhibits. Testing, programming, and integration shall be done by a certified Genetec Contractor. For the tour following the pre-bid conference, a maximum of two representatives from each prospective bidder may attend the tour. All attendees shall RSVP as a Prospective Bidder on Metropolitan's online bid system or email SpecsDesk@mwdh2o.com with the company name and names of attendees at least three business days before the pre-bid conference date. MWD prohibits attendees from coming on-site if exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms or within an "infectious period" as defined in Cal-OSHA Title 8, Section 3205. If the bid is greater than $25,000, the successful bidder shall furnish a labor and material payment bond in accordance with the contract documents. If the bid is greater than $100,000, the successful bidder shall also furnish a performance bond, in accordance with the contract documents. All bidders shall have a valid California contractor's license, classification A and/or C-7 or C-28 at the time of submitting the bid. In accordance with Public Contract Code 3400(c)2, the programmer shall be Genetec certified for integrating the new security improvements into the existing Genetec system and submit proof of certification.
