Wagner Covered Bridge Relocation. The project involves relocating Wagner Covered Bridge to Briar Creek Lake Park, constructing a new bridge substructure, completing timber repairs, replacing the existing timber siding, replacing/repairing metal roof, painting, and constructing a new timber deck. The project also involves constructing bridge approaches, installation of landscaping, and constructing a new concrete staircase at Briar Creek Lake Park. Each BID must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Owner for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the BID. As soon as the BID prices have been compared, the Owner will return the Bonds of all except the three lowest responsible bidders. When the Agreement is executed, the bonds of the two remaining unsuccessful bidders will be returned. Bidders must submit with their initial bid, a statement as to whether they have previously performed work subject to the President's Executive Order No. 11246 (30 F.R. 12319-25) "Equal Opportunity Clause". The Bidder acknowledges that this bid is for a public works contract and bidder is therefore subject to the provisions, duties, obligations and penalties of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, 43 P.S. 167.1 - 167.11, which is incorporated herein by reference. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bidding, or to limit the scope of work involved. No bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Contractor can dismantle the structure entirely, in sections, or in whole as the Contractor deems necessary to relocate the superstructure and to reassemble in a similar manner at Briar Creek Park.
