As of April 11, 2025, an engineering firm has been selected for the project. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, bidding and construction is not expected to start prior to 2026. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Lawrence is seeking a qualified engineering firm (Consultant) for engineering services related to the expansion of Bob Billings Parkway between E 800 Rd and K10 (South Lawrence Trafficway). The scope of the project is to design and acquire right-of-way for an arterial roadway from the existing four-lane section at Kansas Highway 10 to the intersection of E 800 Road.
