The Municipality of Springfield is requesting pricing for the provision of grounds keeping and maintenance services at municipal cemeteries (outlined below) within its jurisdiction from May 1 st through October 1st for the years 2024, 2025 and 2026. Contract responsibilities to include the following: o Grass cutting will be as required. Please provide pricing based on 11 cuts per season. Note that Prairie Grove Cemetery may require 2 additional cuts per season. The Cemetery Committee will use discretion in determining the interval of cuts. o Cemeteries will need to be mowed for Mother's Day and Father's Day (including as above). o Mowing of grass and trimming around trees, headstones, and all fencing. o The contractor shall be responsible for removing grass clipping from headstones, and markers. Contractors are also responsible for the proper conduct and payment of all employees hired for the purposes herein stated. In addition, they are also responsible for remitting pay deductions, workers compensation dues, and for ensuring employees are appropriately attired at all times while working in public spaces. Interested parties are required to supply all necessary manpower, tools and equipment for the purposes of keeping the abovementioned facilities orderly, clean, safe and in working order for their intended purposes.
